Credible Data - References

Credible Data is a program that classifies surface water monitoring performed by watershed groups, state agencies, schools, local volunteers and other organizations. Ohio EPA uses the data submitted under the program in ways prescribed by State law.

Previous Input from Volunteers

The Ohio State University Extension Watershed Team conducted a Credible Data Pilot Program with the Division of Surface Water right before the credible data rules became effective. Volunteer participants completed Qualified Data Collector applications and offered feedback on the application process, available resources, and what their expectations were for the program. A complete report of this pilot project (as prepared by the OSU Extension Watershed Team) is available below.
